So I whomped up a feast this week including Hash Brown Casserole, Southern Beans and Rice, and a cheesecake with raisins, nuts, a crust made of blended provided Graham cracker crumbs and crushed Golden Puffs (bogus Golden Smacks) topped with a deconstructed Hostess® Cherry Pie and banana chips with their edges softened in a milk-bath.

     Guess what? All that laborious, spending-limit-disrupting effort and THIS last hour dark horse was the showstopper and scene-stealer! One convict with hoity-toity cloth napkin knowledge gave it four *s especially taken with the limitations it sprung from. Thats what prison cooking is though: ingenuity through deprivation.
